# Is CP504 the last notice before a levy?

The short answer

No. The IRS says it can't levy most property with just a CP504. It must first send a formal notice of intent to levy and your right to a hearing, like an LT11 or Letter 1058. Still, respond to the CP504. It is the IRS's last reminder before that step.
